Korn guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer discussed the band’s recording process for their upcoming album.
“We’re doing it all on tape. We’re all in the room, sweating it out. The tape is rolling. The guy gives us a thumbs up in the window, and we start playing.”
Korn recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of their self-titled debut with a special performance in Los Angeles featuring guests like Evanescence, Gojira, and others.
Korn bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu took a break from touring in 2021 to address personal issues and was replaced by Suicidal Tendencies bassist Roberto “Ra” Díaz.
Korn’s most recent album, 2022’s “Requiem”, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hard Rock Albums chart.
