Wolfgang Van Halen believes he would be “selling out” if he performed Van Halen songs and prefers to focus on his own material with Mammoth WVH.
Despite his history with Van Halen, Wolfgang chooses to follow his father’s ethos of prioritizing original material over covers: “I’d rather bomb with my own material than succeed with someone else’s.”
Wolfgang said he gets pressure from fans: “I guarantee you there’s at least 20% of every crowd at our show that leaves disappointed I didn’t play ‘Panama‘. Great song – not a Mammoth song.”
